SDAO partners with HR Answers to provide members covered by SDIS General Liability Insurance with direct access to trusted human resources expertise tailored to the unique needs of Oregon’s special districts. This partnership ensures SDAO members have reliable, knowledgeable HR support to help navigate compliance, employee relations, and day-to-day people management challenges with confidence.

Beginning January 1, 2026, SDAO members continue to receive exclusive HR services as part of their membership—designed to deliver practical guidance, flexibility, and real value when it matters most.

What SDAO Members Receive

Complimentary HR Consultation Hours
Each SDAO member organization (with SDIS general liability coverage) receives four (4) hours of HR consultation per year with HR Answers. These hours can be used for a wide range of HR needs, including:
• Employee relations support
• Policy and compliance guidance
• Hiring and employment questions
• Day-to-day HR challenges

Project & HR Task Support
Members may also apply their consultation hours toward short-term HR projects, such as:
• Job description updates
• FLSA and classification reviews
• Salary surveys
• Other small HR projects or document reviews

Discounted Services Beyond Included Hours
If a member’s needs exceed the four included hours, additional services are available at discounted SDAO member rates.
