This training will consist of a comprehensive review of Oregon’s public meetings law. The presentation will cover individual board member responsibilities, how statutes apply to meetings, executive session rules, and the grievance & complaint process. This session satisfies the training requirements for Oregon governing body members for public bodies (i.e., special district board members). This training requirement applies to governing body members for public bodies with total expenditures of $1 million or more in a fiscal year.

This training is open to board members and management staff from all districts.
